Well, we finally got word from the manufacturer, we will have the production run of our new ship, the 1/700 mahan's in our shop for a December 15th Ship date! Great news!
Trident is now taking orders for these kits, and we have a pre-order special to spice things up. In the promotion package, this is what you get:

1 each (4 total) of our new Mahan Destroyers:

1 - MPK707 USS Mahan in 1936 outfit (cool tripod mast)
1 - MPK708 USS Dunlap in 1942 outfit (enclosed forward gun)
1 - MPK709 USS Mahan in 1942 outfit
1 - MPK710 USS Cassin in 1943 outfit, this is after she was rebuilt from exploding during the Pearl Harbour Attack.

In addition, you're going to get an 11x17 print of each of the original box art paintings, 4 prints total. We were selling these in Atlanta for $10 each. And finally, to make it all that and then some, you get your very own X-Large Trident Hobbies T-shirt.

All this for only $84.99!

So, if you're interested in all four, take the package. If you only want one or two, just take them. But either way, we're taking orders now!

As Always: Happy Modeling!

Chris are these upgrade kits or full kits? I've seen some early 1/700 scale U.S. destroyers in our LHS but I can't remember the maker of them.

Ok, I looked at your web site. The Gridley is the one I've seen in the LHS. They look like very nice kits. I haven't gotten one yet but they've been calling to me.

If you have any want of subject suggestions how about a 1/700 USS Portland and USS San Francisco in 1942 rig? In plastic please.

I'd love to some day model the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, Nov 13 1942, and it's just not possible without those two.

nice to finally start seeing more and more non-Japanese warships in 700 scale plastic rather than specialized resin kits. Almost might make me go back and start over again. I did buy my first 700 scale ship in 20 years.....an ealy Yamato. something about those clutter free sides with those 2 triples that makes that baby look pretty. Wish I could get one in 350 scale
