Well it's time to start the 700 scale Combrig HMS Dreadnought, will build her with AM PE rails and brass barrels and scratch tripod mast. I'll be asking plenty of questions as I go along.

Good looking kit, Frank! You've got an interesting subject there, Mate! And as far as questions go, trust me, there's alot of knowledge floating around these murky waters, mate, so don't be afraid to ask! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Is that a plastic kit? Interesting mold method. Those parts look pretty brittle...are they?

I'll be interested in seeing this one finished.

Good luck!

Hi Steve,

This is a resin model. Appart from the hull and some carriers with parts (similar to the palstic sprues) you also get some parts with a film that you have to cut and sand. It's a nice touch to have two sets of PE
It will enhance the vessel a lot!

As for the brittliness of the resin it sure looks the brittle type

A good wash is needed to all parts to remove the releasing agent (the glow in the pictures), and also some vinegar dip on the PE sets

Looking forward to see your progress Frank

I'll really be interested in seeing posts on your progress of this one. As the ship that started it all the Dreadnoughts campaign really needs at least one HMS Dreadnought.
