For some reason my LHS has started to carry several Chineese kits of ship models. One has caught my eye. It's a Chineese gunboat, the ZhongShan. It's apparently in 1/180 scale and isn't your typical battleship or carrier. I have no idea what the kit itself is like but I love the "fractured English" on the box. My first thought was the movie "Sand Pebbles". Too bad it's in a weird scale and reading that a good part of the kit was re-done with scratchwork.

I thought the same thing, Steve. Looks alot like the boat in the movie, but then, I haven't seen it in a long time.
