As the new moderator of The History Club here on Armorama, hold your applause, I'm trying to post a This Date in History every day. When doing it for today, Feb 11, I found that this date in 1942 was the start of the Channel Dash by the Germans in WWII. In this operation the "twins" Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, along with the Prinz Eugen ran the gauntlet of the English Channel from Brest to German waters.
I thought the people here who have made, or who are going to make one of the twins for the Dreadnought campaign might be interested.
