Hey guys.
After some research, we have 99.9% of the camouflage measures for the WW2 U.S. Navy ship kits out on the market. They include:
CV - CVL - CVE Including the measure worn by the Saratoga in 1944
BB - CB From the Tennessee to the Colorado to the Missouri
CA -CL This includes the Indianapolis and the cruiser kits by Midship Models
DD - All destroyer kits offered by Midship Models and numerous Fletcher measures
DE - Ships of the Buckley and John C. Butler classes
LCI - LST - LCT Heller kits
Liberty ships and AKs based on liberty ships.
I'll have a full list posted on the website in the next few days.

I think Kenny is a sole propietorship. I've got some custom masks he made for my Lexington. I'll find out just how good they are when I finish painting. My inital impression was quite good as they stuck down quite well. Heres hoping to no bleed under.

Yep, it's just me and a computer on my days off. PayPal is free to have a personal account. That's how Skipper payed for his.
Hey Steve, if you keep your airbrush 90 degrees to the model with light, even coats, you shouldn't have a bleed. Also, you can shoot a thin coat of clear flat first, that will keep it from bleeding too.
If you have any questions, email me at [email protected] and I'll help you out. I'll be at Model fiesta this weekend, but I can check my email on my phone.

Hi Kenny
Frank is right!
The Hornet scheme (as for the Doolottle Raid) it is not listed!
I know you are using it in the Revell Hornet though!

Oops. My bad. I forgot to list it. I have the 1/350, Revell and the 1/700 in the computer, I just didn't add to the web site. I'll do it tonight. Sorry.

Just a clarification, the Revell Hornet, isn't that a 480th scale model? What I need is the Trumpeter 350th scale Hornet masks.
thanks,
Frank

Once you post the 350th scale Hornet, I am going to have to give these a whirl. (As long as you didn't use the Trumpeter instructions as the guide - their pattern is incorrect on the hull, IIRC).
Two suggestions:
1) You may want to seperate the ships into separate pages - one for CVs, one for BBs, etc - it might make is easier for people to find what they are looking for.
2) Some suggestions for future items:
Masks for Kreigsmarine ships
Masks for British ships (Prince of Wales, for one)

Great minds think alike. I am going to have different pages for the different ships - CV, BB, CA/CL, DD/DE, Royal Navy and Kriegsmarine.
The PoW is in the works and I have all 4 camouflage schemes for the Tirpitz ready to cut.

I used kenny's masks to write out L E X on my Lexington they were easy to apply , fit snuggly, and pulled up without a hitch. No bleed under, flawless. Had a tiny bit of bleed under some of the painter tape for my stripes, so his masks get an enthusiastic 2 thumbs up from me. I'll want the 350 scale Hornet and North Carolina masks for sure when I get ready to do those 2 jewels.

Ok guys. Tomorrow I am going to update the web site. One thing you will notice is that instead of a "buy now" button for each item, the will be a button for 1/700 scale and 1/350 scale and of course 1/480 for those Revell Hornets. Just indicate what mask you are orderingwhen you complete the paypal order form. This will greatly aid in the ability for me to update web site quickly. Thanks for your patience.

Kenny I believe you already have the pattern for it.
I could be wrong as I can’t check right now but when you sent me reference pictures for the hornet out of your one book (can’t remember what book it was.) I believe there were 2 colored scale drawings of the hornet including the camo.
If you can’t use that or I’m mistaken and your unable to get a better pattern let me know and I’ll try to scan the paint guide in my kit and send it to you.
Its just a little small so I don’t know if it would be that usable for you.

What source are you using for the Prince of Wales camo? And, more importantly, what period. One of the colors had been painted out by the time of her loss.

Hey John,
There is a port and starboard profile of the PoW on the Force Z Survivors web site. I was planning on using that as a starting point until my KGV class book arrives. So the camo will be from that time period.
