Ahoy mates!

Although I know, and also deeply involved in them, that right now we have two currently running Campaigns (Dreadnoughts and Flattops) being steared masterly by Mark (Gunny) I would like to remind you that Dive! Dive! Dive! 2 is almost in it's starting date.
One week from next saturday, on March 25th it will make one year that our dear Friend and Shipmate Garry Beebe departed from these waters and I know that, if he can see Warships @ Armorama today, he will be very proud of the Crew that was gathered here and all the ships that we are making!
This is the Official Starting date - and it will be a one year cruise!

I can say that DDD2 is the third Campaign made honouring Garry Beebe, but it is the first that is a "novelty" since he was very motivated and pushing the guys for both Dreadnought and Flattops; ence the actual names of the Campaigns:
- Garry Beebe's Dreadnoughts Campaign
- Garry Beebe's Flattops Campaign

I also would like to remind or tell for the new members, that Garry passed away while we were running the first DDD Campaign.

So, for those who have enlisted already - this is a reminder
For those members that have not, and are willing to try and build a submarine, any period, any scale, any nation, and you want to have some fun, showing and discussing problems, issues or technicques... join in.

I'm all set, got my sub kit, ready to go......

I'm so glad we've got a year! I'm not expecting my build of another improved 688 to take a lot of time, since I pretty much figured out all the "tricks" on the one I did for the original DDD. But I'm not going to be starting until the Dreadnaught campaign is over, and THAT'S looking like a "term paper" or "filing your income taxes". :-) :-) :-)

I'm at the little plane phase in the flat-tops, but I'm just itching to build a tank. Plan to enter the Patton campaign have even gone so far as to pull out the M48 kit out and stick it next to the work table. After that I'm running the MEOW campaign. I have to decide btwn one of my 6 Tigers or 3 Leopards. But as there is a year to do this, probably sometime at the end of the summer I'll enroll. Got a 350 scale TYPE XXI in the stash.

I got a an old Heller Le Redoubtable in 1/400 scale.

I have a couple of suitable boats, the Revell 1/125 u-boat - and of course the 1/72 version too! I'm planning something pretty special for the latter, so I think this could be just the place for her...
