OK folks, I've now got the information required to produce an ACCURATE USN Buff in Colourcoats. Trouble is, I have to convince Caroline that it's worth our while to do so. She would probably want to see firm pre-orders for about 100 tins. Over to you all....
Cheers,
John Snyder

"scuse my ignorance, but what would be a use for this color? It sounds like a tan or whiteish color.

Hi Steve,
It was used on the superstructures and funnels of USN ships from the 1890s and on into the 1930s. It was used on the Great White Fleet, and still used on elements of the Asiatic Fleet (like the gunboat PANAY) in the 1930s.
There are a lot of pre-Dreadnought kits coming out now, and to date no one has been able to come up with an accurate USN Buff.
Cheers,
John Snyder

Hi John
Well, since I already have all WWII USN Colourcoats, I think I could add another one my range of tinlets
Question is:
- Can I pre-order it right now on WEM website, or just this intention is enough?
C'mon, you always convince Caroline
Skipper
