I looked at the Essex model kit this past weekend at the hobby shop and was mighty impressed with the effort and quality.  Trumpeter is constantly and pleasantly surprising...

Am I missing something? The news story mentions Baltimore, Hancock, Ticonderoga, and Essex. Why the pictures of Saratoga, or is it Lexington?
I love the idea of the 1/700 US Cruisers. Wouldn't it be nice to think they will expand this series to other nations?
Trumpeter is certainly leading the pack in new ship releases. Good news for floaty guys.

How many 350 scale Essex class ships has Trumpeter released 4?  I think there are some variations and one major variation (long hull).  They certainly are getting a lot of mileage out of their molds.  This is as opposed to Dragon technique of coming out with 3 in ones and folks buying three of the same kit.  Hre you get nifty artwork that's different on each box.
