Hello everybody

After I'll think abouth 40 years I started to build again ships. I stopped when I was 16 because I went to sea ( merchant ships) and never thought again about the hobby. I started again about 5 years ago but then only building tanks of WOII.

In 2004 I saw the new U boat of Revell the large one and I had a lot of problem to keep my hand on my pocket but I promised myself once I will build that one

I was in the model shop in Bastogne ( Belgium) and saw the Snowberry ( Corvette) and the new U boat of Revell the Atlantic version and I could not stop and bought both of them and ordered the other one which I was still in love.

I would like to have information of the Snowberry and the U boat mentioned I started with the Snowberry yeaterday and the hull is completed and this evening it will go under primer I had some problems but survived can I look to any website to see them in originally or does somebody have any suggestions??

Thanks for help and assistance and sorry for my poor school english

thanks in advance

Hi Brandon, welcome aboard.

Sorry I'm in a rush so only a quick reply. This site has a lot of information on Flower class corvettes, and should be a good starting point.

Also do a search of Armorama and/or Model Shipwrights for Type VII U-boats; many people here have built them and there should be a lot of links to references for you to use, both on and offline.

Don't worry about your English - it is fine and as long as the message gets through then what else matters?

Hello again Brandon,

I see you found you way here alright. If you look at the top of the page you'll see the link for Kitmaker, you'll need to log in again but you will also be able to view the gallery and will probably find examples of what you're looking for.

If not you'll enjoy the visit anyway. Sorry I can't help with the info on subs but many others can.

Welcome aboard.

Cheers

Hi Brandon

First of all Welcome to Modelshipwrights!
About the Snowberry and if you want some pictures of it search google images (some of th eresults are form the real Snowberry)

You can also check Graham Townsend's built of HMS Campanula built with the Revell model and some tons of AM parts and sets

and for the Revell VII-C U-boat

Check it here Ian Hill's VII-C Photo's
and here:
Martin Noorloss's VII-C building Feature

Also if you want to invest on some books you can try and find:
- The Flower Class Corvette Agassiz
- Type VII-C U-boat

Both from Anatomy of the Ship series by Conway Maritime Press

Hope this helps

Skipper
