Does anyone know of a model miniature out there of the US Navy's NR-1? Any scale?

Yes there are!
There is a "toyish" like from a japanese brand (injection, OOP) which I don't recall the name (in 1/350 if my memory serves me well) and then this:

I don't know how is their service, because I have send a couple of emails to FX Models and never got a reply!

The NR-1 is a really odd and strange machine!
Since FX Models released it that it's on my wish list
Perfect scale (for my strange submarine projects) and a chance to have a modern sub in this scale...

Charmion's father woked with the NR1 either when he was assigned with the sub rescue ship or the tender, I'll have to ask him again. He's spoken about it often. I sent those guys an price request regarding the Nautilus kit...she's a beauty!
