I told Skipper I would finish up those last few aircraft for the Lexington and then I would take several pix of the Lexington for a MOD article he wanted. I started working on that Tristar Panzer IV D and well, it is a bugger bear and I didn't do what I would say I would do. Lets just say the kit is COMPLICATED> each roadwheel is 6 pieces each mounting piece that holds two road wheels is 7 pieces, so that is 19 pieces multiple that by eight. I won't go into all the little bitty bolts things and the return roller sprocket etc etc that is part of the under carriage. Needless to say just building the lower part of the hull is a weeked project and I sure am glad for my pop-up/down visor to see.

RUI: DON"T GIVE UP ON ME !!! As soon as I get done with all the tank itty bitty piees I'll go back to the airplane itty bitty pieces (which is why I thought I'ld tackle the tank in the first place-----SHEESH !!! ).

I may go back to building those early Monogram 48th scale kits where all the parts are BIGGG !! :-) :-)

I never thought of giving you up
Comrades are just like this - they stick to each other on good and specially in bad times
Take your time, as you should know with me, do your stuff and when you're ready we'll talk again

Thanks for not forgeting this, though
Skipper

I know that old buddy, it's just the way I was brought up a man is only as good as his word. A promise made is a promise kept. And of course the VMI Honor thing. I bit off more than I could chew with that tank, I just figured I could knock out the under-carriage in a few hours, be refreshed and then going back to tackling those planes...believe it or not I need about 10 more and most of those are about 3/4 done. It's Sat night, I'm going to eat dinner watch a few hours of TV and tackle the planes again, so I still might make my promised time
