Hey guys...thanks to Jeff, I've got the camo pattern for my 1/700 Shinano. If you guys like, I'll take you step by step on how I work with paint masks.

Here is the pattern I chose...

Maybe that take your kid to work day wasn't such a good idea for the Imperial Navy. :-) :-) :-)

More later....Gator

(edit...can you tell I've been sending emails all day today...doh)

Hey Kenny! I would love to have you go through the process of using your masks!
I received the masks I ordered from you(they look great!) and am excited to give them a try. A little tutorial from the master is a great idea.

That's a demanding mask - but I can say the deck is the easy part!
Painting the hull is the tricky part

Good job Kenny

Sure the hull's the hard part. Two colors and straight lines are always harder than abstract art. I've got to raised details taken off the flight deck and started pre-fitting the pieces. I work some more on it tonight after the little one fais do-dos (goes to sleep)

Still filling sinkholes on the Shinano. Hopefully, I've got them all. I'll start sanding on the island and do some assembly tonight and tomorrow morning. I may be able to start the painting progress this weekend.

Hi Gator!
I think that a step-by-step tutorial would make for a fantastic FEATURE article for Model Shipwrights, my man...It's not hard to do, Bro, just write up the article, take some pic's, wrap it all up, then send it to Rui...he'll take care of the rest! This way it's a permanent reference article on the sight for anyone looking for such information...Good thinking, mate!

Since I plan on buying some of your masks whenever I get around to building my Hornet, I'd LOVE to see you do a tutorial!

I'll second the request for the Hornet. Hopefully you are doing the Doolittle Raid scheme. I've got a Trumpeter 350 scale just sitting in the stash

I have the Hornet in 1/350, 1/700 and Revell's weird scale (right, Jacob). I got Trumpeter's 1/700 Hornet and my wife got me Tamiya's Enterprise kit so that I can do a Doolittle Raid dio. Gotta love her!
I plan on doing the Franklin and the Santa Fe in 1/700 scale in camo for Letye Gulf campaign.
