I noticied this ad when entering the Armorama site. Hasegawa 350 scale Yukikaze package. The deal is a so what, the issue is I didn't know a 350 scale Japanese DD had been produced in plastic. I knew Hasegawa had produced something, but I thought it was another 1904 Batteship or cruiser. So maybe another player?

Hey, Steve!
Essentially, you really didn't miss this one, mate, as it has just hit the shelves...she's definitely 100% Hasegawa, and a really great bonus deal...Take a look at the kit closer with these active links at DRAGONUSA
and at HASEGAWA!

Yukikaze was a member of the famed Kagero class DD. It was made famous by doing something that amost no other warship in the IJN was able to do....survive the war intact. An excellent choice of a Japanese destroyer. Being greedy I sure would love to see a Myoko or Takao heavy cruiser roll down the slips

I got an email from Dragon USA on this. The Yukikaze herself, a 1/350 seaplane, and a PE set. It's a pretty good deal, but not one I can take advantage of right now. Still I'm very happy to see new 1/350 ships that aren't the Bismarck, Tirpitz, or some other Essex class.

Just recived Yukikaze destroyer!
It looks good. Now i have to buy PE set for it!
Im a little afraid of all those wires on the main masts....
so thin in 1/350 scale...
i think very thin streched sprue is a solution!

Hello. Tomaz!
Glad to hear that you have received your, kit mate, keep us updated on your progress...and about the 1/350 rigging and wires....sprue can be used, yes, BUT, there is an alternative that I've been using for a while now.
See if you can find yourself a spool of Lycra thread, the kind that is used in aircraft modeling for rigging on the wingy things, mate...lycra thread, a little super glue+some patience = some fine looking ship rigging...

Bloody hell you guys are getting screwed again, these are selling in Toys'r'Us here for 3500yen ($30us)

Ah so...that all part of the master plan. Make yankee modeler buy over priced kit. Trying to recoup the money we spent in WW2. :-) :-)

That's the cost of exporting.
