Ahoy all,

Here is a very little submarine I just finished and added to my u-boat collection.
It is a German one man midget submarine...BIBER. It is built in 1:125 scale and
was entirely scratchbuilt except for the torpedoes. They came from the Revell U-47 kit
but had to be modified...added the propellers and fins as well as the
pistol detonators. It is less than 3 inches long and was a lot of fun to build.
I plan to do one in 1:72 scale soon.

Hope you all enjoy!
Have a nice day and happy modelling.

That is a fantastic piece of work! Scratch building is way beyond me I'm afraid. I assume you have seen Skipper's boat collection?

Thanks Kenny...and how is the SeaTiger coming along?
Photos soon...looking forward to seeing it and in PINK!

Thanks Graham, yes I have seen Skipper's collection in the
gallery... amazing work.

And scratchbuilding is not that complicated...depends on
the subject of course...the hardest part is good reference
material ie: photos and plans and of course bits of plastic!

Have a nice day,

Hey Joe. I was just starting back on it. I'm working on the flood holes this weekend and buttoning up the deck, she had no topside gun mounts. Gonna try my hand at making the railing for the aft sail platform (I think it's called the cigarette deck?).

Joe,

Well what words could I add to the comments already made, none apart from I agree and that you have truely made an excellent model, more so when one remembers the size into which you have crammed all that work and detail, whats next a Seehund ??

Ahoy ! Mark,Steve and Pete,

Hope your all fine...thanks for kinds words.

Pete, a Seehund... maybe...but for now I must start my DDD2
project. It is going to be a real challenge.
I have put a hold on my VII-C/41 in 1:125 since it had been started way before the DDD2 campaign began.
I have decided to backdate the Revell U-99 kit, again in 1:125
to a pre-war Type VII or sometimes incorrectly called the
Type VII-A.
I will most likely model U-35, since I have managed to pull together good references on this particular u-boat.
So far I have started to modify the deck...will post some pics
soon.
Cheers,
Joe

Hi JOE :-) (edited the Frank)

Amazing Biber - and I know what I am saying, because I have the notion of the size and delicate parts you have made!

Congratulations and I request a MOD feature of this Biber Kleinkampfmittel U-boat

Hello Rui,
Welcome back...good vaction I hope.

A MOD sounds good to me. What details would you like? A little article on the build? Let me know...always
happy to contribute.

By the way...who's Frank? ....

Quick question...I have finally decided on my DDD2
entry...where do I post my progress photos?

You have a super day and happy modelling,

Joe

Hi Joe

I don't know who Frank is.... :-) (never try to write two different posts when arriving from vacation - your multitask feature will be still half sleepy - sorry for the Frank issue)

Back to business:
The MOD could be made in the same fashion as was the U-96, but if you have some in progress shots and some text to add it, we can make a Full Feature.

You choose - no stress, no hurries!
