I wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I would give it a try here.
I was wondering if there are any kits out there of a US Navy LPD class of ship?
Thanks for your help

Yes there are...JAG Collective sells a 1/700 scale USS Austin class LPD kit. It is a resin kit...my brother got me one for Christmas last year. I was the DCA aboard LPD-14 TRENTON for 4 years.
Your first quote is really ironic...I just finished watching Buckaroo Banzai about 3 minutes ago!!!!

Hi Harv,
Good to see you in these waters, mate!
To expand a little more on Lenny's reply, the JAG kit is a good one, all resin, fine detail, and you can read a little more about it HERE
Here's another option from
TOTALNAVY
And I can't resist putting this one up, too, if you're in for a little scratchbuilding, and want to do a museum piece, here's a 1/96 scale (must be shippede by common carrier!) hull for the USS San Antonio, LPD-17, from The Scale Shipyard
Happy hunting!

Thank you for the replies. I will have to consider getting one of those to add to my dust collecting collection!! I didn't know if such a kit was even out there. Thanks again for the help and please contact me if there is anything that I can help you out with.
Take care, HARV
