I didnt do any particular detailing, just out od the box + Hasegawa PE set, and thats it! I did try to kep weathering to a minimum, almost none,
( but the photos are bad! )
Im quite pleased with the final resoult. for my first ship is god!

Next will be Trumpter Fletcher class destroyer - The Sullivans.

Hey Tomaz

very nice and clean result for a first try! I like the way you spread out the ruststains over the hull. The rigging looks very convincinly.

a very nice result for your first shipmodel ever.
Welcome to the wet side of modelling, now you're hooked for life!!

ps: if you allow me to give one small comment: on pic 3 I can barely see that the hull has windows (don't know the correct word in english). Maybe you could paint them black, and then softly drybrush over the edges with a lighter shade of gray. this way you can cover up any black stains on the sides, and you will also highlight the detail around the windows.

And so it goes, yet another shipwright be born. . .

Looks great, Tomaz, welcome to the wonderful world of shipbuilding!
You better be careful, because it is very contagious, and soon you will be smuggling new ship kit subjects into the stash left and right!

Very good job, mate, great first effort, and good luck with your Sullivans!
Keep Modeling!

ZING-DANG-DOO !!! I've been waiting to see this one. Looks like a marvelous kit and Tomaz, you did it justice. Even the colors you used are great. The dark grey and that funky reddish-brown for the linoleum covered deck. I definitely have to add this one to the want list.

Yes it is my first ship, but have been building a lot of Tomcats :-) :-)

Just ordered Trumpeter The Sullivans 1/350 and ICM Markgraf 1/350,
and then off to the big one... IJN Musashi..... :-) :-) :-)
