The PT-109 and PT-212 were two different kits. I have the Revell book at home and can verify more information on it, but I believe the PT-212 is the smaller vessel that was released as the McHale's Navy boat.

The Revell PT212 kit has been in and out of production since the late 1950s and variously released as PT211, 212, & 207. At the moment, I don't believe it's in production.

From an accuracy standpoint, the kit is not what it purports to be. The hull has the wrong shape below the waterline, the cabin structure approximates that of the later PT450 series, the structure between the turrets was not on the actual boats, the 20mm are not even close, etc.

Sorry to add to the confusion, but don’t forget that Revell of Germany’s PT-117 is Revell’s PT-109 with different decals.

And believe it or not, the PT109 is the better of the two kits. The PT212 was deveolped in the 1950s and the PT109 in the 60s.

The PT 109 / 117 represents and ELCO 80 foot long boat in 72nd scale. They recently released a brass PE set for it. Like the man said it is a crude kit having been made in the very early 60's. The PT 212 is a 78 foot Higgins version. I think the scale is somewhere around 80. It is just as crude and is considered a rare kit. You see them once in a while on ebay and they go for over $30 usually.
