Thanks for the news Mark.
Really great looking kit. I would love to build this one.
Is anyone planning a build review?
I wish we still had a Revell agent here in New Zealand.
Regards
Sean

Hi Mark
If I can find me a kit to build count me in.
As I said its darn near impossible to get Revell Germany here.
But in saying that I will try here in New Zealand plus further afield.
The search begins.
Regards
Sean

Hello,
Does anyone know if this is just a re-release or is it new tooling /
Hopefully someone will produce aftermarket 4.1" guns and details
I did this kit many years ago but would like to re-do it right
Any Idea when its coming ?

I don't remember this kit ever being made, but of course I don't know every kit that was ever made. I see World War 1 subjects in 350 scale are on the rise with the Konig class and some of the Japanese post dreadnaughts being made. New players are entering. I think every one is seeing how successful Trumpeter's foray into the mart has been and are looking to get a piece of the pie in a wide open field.

I believe it was originally issued about 10, maybe 15 years ago.
I only saw two maybe three shown at shows over the years.

Wouldn't it be interesting to find someone who has built the original, and have the new kit compared to the original?

It's a reissue of the older kit according to folks... That said, it is a very good kit, judging by what I've heard (on par with their 1/720 Graf Zeppelin).

its a reissue i expect revell to release the dresden as well as both ships were sisters. if you kie this kit get the book the last corsair by dan der vat . it details the emdens cruise after leaving von spees sqandron in 1914 . von muller wrote the book with the emden on raider warfare

The hunt has been successful.
I have just now sourced this kit externally from New Zealnd.
I have placed an order today with modelsforsale (UK based) who I have dealt with before and found them very good. They had one in stock and as they say "he who hesitates loses".
I also took the opportunity to order the Revell 1/72 UBoat/S Boat figures as well for pending E Boat / S Boat / U Boat projects. I like the fact there are 51 of them and whilst there are duplicates I have 5 or so projects that I can use them all on.
I will let you know when it arrives it maybe a few weeks of but hey when you are located in this part of the world you learn patience in this regard.
Mark I will do that review for you as well as a priority. Once I get the kit I will contact you to ascertain the basis of the review (in the box/build).

OH YEA !!!!!!
Got mine this past Thursday thru Ebay,it looks like the same kit as the original, although theydownsized from the big box it used to come in.
Now all we need is some resin or metal guns for it.
