I have made some changes to the forum structure for MSW. The "ships by class" are now groups located in a forum called "The Drydock". Please remember to select the group if you are going to start a topic on Battleships (for example). Also most of the "General Quarters" posts are now located in "The Carpenter's Shop" which is the General Ship Modeling forum for this site. General Quarters is now defined as an non-modeling topic forum and can be used to discuss any topics not necessarily about modeling but in general about ships or naval subject matter.

Thanks,
Jim

Changes look good, Captain! (although I was a bit partial to our signal flag icons!)
Change is good, though. . .
Kind of consolidated us a bit, navigating should prove easier all around. . .what do the rest of ye' think?

I like the dry dock idea. There were far to few posts in each category to justify keeping them there on boards.

But I must agree with Mark on the flags.

I like the change, although of course when I flipped to the Forum page & everything was missing, I got nervous ...

A minor point, the topic & post counts on the forum page aren't right ...

Greetigs all,

Personally I liked the flag system, it made the site very unique and ship-like.

An icon is an icon I suppose and I'll get used to the new ones.

Talking flags does anyone have a reference site for Flag Signalling, that would be useful?

Cheers

Al

I guess I'm a bit weird here. I kinda like the little pictures instead of the flags. Mainly because I had no earthly idea what the flags meant other than they were colorful. The reconfiguration I thnk makes it easier to navigae and it lessens the number of backing out of one forum and into another moves I hae to do.
