Greeting all,

While I remember a question I've been meaning to ask for some time. I've been thinking about the possibility of a small gangway from the pier to the first boat and also the possibility of links between boats.

The first boat, by the pier wall will have its deck sitting below the level of the pier.

I'd be interested in any thoughts you might have on short gangways?

What first popped into my mind would be something made of wood. Maybe a yard wide smooth wood with those 1 inch high pieces of wood layed out every couple of feet or so perpendicularly and handrails on the side

Thanks for that. AA do a gangway and pontoon set I wonder if anyone has used that kit?

I'll have to look for some reference pictures.

Very useful. I may get the AA kit although the gangway might be a little big for my purpose but it would give me the correct dimetions for 1/35 and if it was too big I could build a smaller one and have the other sitting on the pier. The pontoons might be useful also, I'll have a look throught he link and decide what's best. Building my own world be cheaper provided I get the scale correct.
