The Bismarck has become the ship models Tiger tank or ME 109. I don't know why they keep releasing it over and over and over again. It has been "improved" so many times that the term has become as worn out as "awesome" in the 80's. Come on fellows...enough is enough already !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree Steve, if they are going to release German Capital ships it's really about time for a Scharnhorst Class or a Prinz Eugen Heavy Cruiser in 1/350,The first company that does will sell plenty of kits.

Decent analogy, mate. . .I too have been modeling for a bit, as you have, and have seen my share of Bismarck releases as well, BUT. . .to answer your question, we can fall back on your opening line for an answer.

Why do the manufacturers keep offering the Tiger or ME109? Because we modelers keep buying them! The subject sells, quite simply, and I'm sure that as time goes on, and new modelers enter the hobby, the Bismarck will be around for a long time!

And, if you're shopping for some different German subjects, GMW has just brought in ICM Models three new releases in 1/350, WW I German Battleship 'Konig' , WW I German Battleship 'Grosser Kurfurst' , and the WWII German Battleship 'Markgraff'. . .

Well I for one will buy one as I brought the first issue but that is only a full hull kit, wanting a waterline model I have been eyeing the Trumpeter one but now Dragon have brought this one out may go with this.

Ahoy Luciano!
I would like to be of more help in making your choice here, mate, but alas, I haven't seen this kit up close and personal (yet!). . .but I will say that the DML Premo Edtitions that I have built are spectacular in both buildability (is that even a word?) and accuracy. Either way, you can't lose, mate!
