Hi guys.

You might remember me mentioning a while back that I started working on Yamato. Well I thought it is time to show it in public for the first time. Its ways off from finished product but i read you guys like in progress shots so here they are. Hope you enjoy them.

It will be a long time before i can update my progress since i am going to India for a month.

It sure is a fun kit to build. I'm just waiting on my special cast peices to get cracking on finishing mine yet. I've got the complete superstructure done. I've painted the wood on the deck and the lower hull red. After i get the goodie parts I'll catch all the dark grey painting then go back and do the detail work. It will be abot 2 weeks worth of work once I get everything else in to complete it

Hi I am back!

Actually have been back for few weeks already but finally got some work done on her last weekend so I thought you all would like some teaser pictures. There is still a lot to do but its getting along nicely.

There have been some problems too. I donīt know if you can spot it on these pics but I lost one of the pieces that go on the superstructure and had to make one out of filler.

Anyway hope you like these pics of her.

You are definitely moving much faster on yours than I am. Had some bad paint run through my airbrsh this past weekend as I was trying to finish all the last substructure painting. Ended up having to paint them all by hand. The next step for me is to lay the main deck railing and then start adding the superstructure pieces. I'll finish up my backdate article and submit it sometime soon. The problem is, the firm is ginning up for our big trial in a few weeks and I'm working as much as 15 -20 hours over a week....hey at the rate I'm getting, I'll be adding the Hood to my collection 2 weekes earlier than expected.

thanks
It always makes you feel good when fellow modelerīs prays you.

Ron I would love those Trumpeter aircraft but if they ever decided to do them it would be too late for me.

Steve as much as i remember then your project was much harder too. You are backdating her, Right? Any how good luck to both of us for the painting.
