Greetings all,

I have a qauestion or and idea I'd like to run by you.

When I built the Italeri LCM 3 as a British Boat, it didn't have the alternative ladder and stowage rungs with the kit. The Trumpeter kit does. So I have a spare ladder and stowage ranks that I could add to the Italeri kit to make it more representative of a RN Boat

The question is do I leave well enough alone or do you think it would add to the boat?

Here's a picture of the Italeri kit a an RN Boat - forward deck area:

A strong parrt of me says do it because I have the parts and it shouldn't cause any major damage and another weaker part says leave it as is as it shows a slightly different set up.

Any opinions?

Cheers

Al

Why not!?!?

Sounds like a fine addition to me, AL. . .could you maybe rig it temporary, take a pic of before and after, and then do a side by side comparison for a final?. . .

I'd go for the additional ladder and handrail.

But make sure you can restow the cargo first without damaging the paintjob...

Hi Alan

I would say that you should make the extra effort and add the parts - you'll see, you'll feel better
And it will make a good difference between LCM's (RN and USN)
Just my 2 cents

I'm with everyone else on this. I built my first 350 Yamato in 1986 before photoetched. Years later I picked up some spare rails and post added them to ehance the ship
