Thanks for sharing Mark
My guess is that's a re-release, not a new tooling - but we have to wait and see

Hey guys. I'm drawing a blank here. My research shows no such battleship. It looks like the Fuso, which would make it the Yamashiro. The closest I found to that name is the cruiser Yahagi.

Any ideas?

Ya beat me to it Gator. I think it's a typo. Seems it should be Yamashiro to me too.

Aoshima showed all new tools of Fuso and Yamishiro at the big hobby show in Japan last October - these should be brand new kits.

I was actually thinking you might have been meaning Amagi, the BC sister of the Akagi that was destroyed by the earthquake before being converted to a carrier.

What do you think guys? 2 dozens lashes or should we keel haul Gunny? :-)

If it is a retooling that would be nice. The original Aoshima versions were dogs on accuracy. These two are the ultimate "pagoada mast" ships. Should have never done anything except stay in coastal waters they were that obsolete.

I guess that the Fuso class batteship's are of the new tooling. I though that they were released as new tooled kits a couple of years ago. Maybe it's a special 1944 version, I guess that maybe the barbette guns of the WW1 period has been removed by 1944, which I surpose are included in the original version. I don't know, but it is a qualified guess. E.g. the Yamato and Mushashi has been released in a number of different versions, with different layout of anti aircraft guns, for different time periods.

By the way, Im seeking new tooling kit of the Fuso/Nagato/Kongo class battleships The problem is, however, that I'm from Denmark, Europe, where it seems impossible to buy Aoshima/ Fujimi kits. Maybe Japanise ships are not so interesting here, . However, if I order anything from a site outsite the EU they will bill me twize the price due to customs, so if anyone knows where to get Aoshima/Fujimi kits within the EU of new tooling, i would be glad to know.

Another issure, if any one know the product numbers of the old tooling kits, I would like to know them, in order to avoid buying them.
