Good for you, congratulations.

Is the Hood in any way related to the impending job, or are you just celebrating?

Cheers

Congratulations guy. I hope this is going to be "the one" for you. May the Hood soon be sailing the seas of your stash.

PS: See my post on VCR alert.

Good for you!
The Hood is extremely tempting right now, but I promised myself not to add to the stash (mods for current models do not apply ) until I get to the last model. Sooo tempting.

Oh would that that were true. SIGH.

Actually, I can't speak for Steve, but there is plenty of employment, if you don't mind asking, "would you like fries with that?" Now a job that pays all the bills, doesn't require you to work every weekend and holiday, and doesn't involve some totally mindless activity for 8 hours a day is another story. My current gig misses the boat on all three.

Here's hoping your new position is much better Steve.

It promises to be quite taxing . My sister aided me in getting this job and told me the boss is extremely demanding. But then again, my sister thinks she knows tough. She never had to work for a raging drunk, 5 12 hour days then a 6 hour and another 2 on the weekends. It is in the law field which I am extremely happy about since Iam a schoolded paralegal....now I will beocme a trained one as well. So I figure if I survive a month, I'll celebrate by either bying the Hood, orif the Alabama is soon to be released wait for her. This muchis certain, if I am there after 6 months, the stash will be full of a few small other goodies as well as the battleships.

Congrats Steve well done my friend.

I am truly thrilled for you.

I worked fourteen long years in the legal field they are all difficult to work for. LOL

Glad to hear you've gotten a job Steve.

Roger, I have one of those mindless jobs for 8 hours a day or night, it's called "State Employee", pays great, benefits excellent, the hardest thing I did last night was take 3 water samples and test them, and decide on what flavoured yogurt I felt like having. :-)

Yep, I got one too, only mine is a parish (county) job. I work 4 days a week, 10 hours a day and get to drive my parish vehicle home.

Steve, congratulations!!!! I'm in a slightly different place. At the end of February, I'll be leaving Ford after almost 30 years. They've made me an offer I'd be crazy not to take. (The LAST time I "did" crazy involved going through Jackson Arch :-) :-) :-) )

So I'll be retiring, and the next day I'll start working for a friend and ex-Ford alum at a company he started several years ago doing aftermarket work on Mustangs. That's going to be a lot of fun after 30 years at THIS place!!

Congratulations Tom. Sounds like you hit the jackpot, a nice sum from Ford and a job you love. Can't beat that with a stick.
