Great finding Joe!!
The type II was announced at the same time as the type XXIII was released! It's good to see that they used it also to make a Hai convertion
Also the Vesikko, it's a type II built for the Finish navy in the 30's - you can see my walkaround here.
The biber, there's already three resin models released:FCM (Fine Cast Molds), Verlinden and Choroszy Modelbud.
This is my FCM model:

This is from a friend and also member of our modeling club (the verlinden model)

Houston, we have a problem (storing more boxes)

Thanks for sharing

Ahoy Rui,
Yes, I see both you and your friend have beautiful kits of the Biber.
I am glad that WWII submarines are finally being given their deserved
attention by the model manufacturers.
I am still primarily a u-boat modeler........a large area to explore in
submarine modeling......all the variants.....but I really appreciate any
WWII sub.
Who knows what's next......a Type IX in 1:144 and 1:72 scale would
just great.
And how about some British and Japanese subs?
They have made just about every variant of armor and aircraft.
It is time to pay some attention to the submariners......

Have a nice day and happy modeling!
Joe

Ahoy Steve,
Yes, that would be great as like yourself there are many who build in 1:350.
Asides the XXI, I believe that a company called Combat Subs, a branch of
Pitroad Models, makes a Type VII in 1:350 and in resin. I don't know anything
about the quality of this kit.
Have a nice day and happy modeling,
Joe

A Type IXC, to model U-505 would be nice, in 1/72. So would a 1/350 IXC to model U-66 to go along with the 1/350 U.S Destroyer Escort.
Can you imagine one of the really big Japanese I-boats in 1/72? That thing would be huge.

British subs it would be.... excellent!
U class, S class just to name a couple
of course...
The S-Class has a catch, because the Portuguese Navy used them
But I would love to see any of these in a big scale (the S in ANY scale)
