Just brought the Revell 1/72 Flower class corvette.must say its a kit and a half, just hope i can do a good job on it.
Anyway after looking through the box i came acoss the decal sheet and found there is a decal of duck which is for the front main gun,but it looks nothing like donald duck!.Is there a decal sheet which has a more detailed picture?

Heres a pic:

Ahoy Karl,

The Donald you see in the decal is probably some sailor's rendering of the
famous duck.

Do note that Donald has gone through some aestetic changes since the
1930's......so this rendering is probably correct for its time and as found on
this ship.

Hi Kark and Joe

On the Anatomy of the ship "The Flower Class Corvette Agassiz" page 29 (top picture) it shows HMCS Snowberry... although not a clear shot of the gun shield and comparing it with the decals, aparently it misses the black lines, which could be handpainted after aplying the decals to the shield.
My guess is that this is a little mistake by Revell or originally by Matchbox, that can be corrected, with some work.

Karl, I strongly advice checking Graham Townsend HMS Campanula MOD Feature just for fun or for reference on some of the upgrades (if you want to go the extra mile).

Hope this helps

You might try thumbing through some aircrat after-market decals. I'ld check both 72nd and 48th and you might find something you can use as a base start. Years ago I wanted to do a specific B-17 and was able to find some similar decals to do tail markings and girlie decals to modify into what I wanted for the nose art.

Hi Joe

Thanks for sharing - it's good to know that the Donald Duck is available for the price of one stamp!
Karl - I would go for it
It's worth the try
