Voted.

You mean we're supposed to actually FINISH these things? I thought they were just an excuse to hide in my room and watch old movies on DVD. :-)

It really depends on what you're interested in knowing.

The number of days it takes to complete has to take into account a lot of other factors. The answer in days is certainly revealing with respect to how much some of the other factors influence the completion of a project, and is a good measure in that respect.

However, there is another way to measure this as well. That would be the number of HOURS it takes on average. To me the measure of how many hours it takes is more indicative of the actual work that goes into a build.

I voted. 30 days for me, as long as Ian doesn't hide any parts. :-)

Greetings all,

Votes in, hard to say really, for me about 3 months but I rarely build on one project at a time.

If I were to count up the man hours I would probably have to stop modelling :-) :-) :-) either that or have myself committed.

If I have free time and get motivated I can model all day and into the night - add into that the research time, questions, pictures and going back to put things right well, that's a lot of man hours and of course when is a model really evey finished :-) :-)

Cheers

Al

For some reason clicking on the link takes me to the results and I can’t seem to vote. And I know I haven’t done so in the past because they just got my internet back up and running.

Anyway mine would probably be about 6 months but I think I’m starting to get faster.

Once you get to the results, Jacob, just click on to the "Voting Booth" link in the lower left corner of the box, mate. . .or you can also access the poll from the front page. ..

Hopefully I'll finish my Fletcher in time for the 1997 IPMS show. And I'm just a bit short of finishing my Nelson for Dreadnoughts.

It seems that the consensus thus far leans towards 180 days and I agree. However, I tend to miss the boat so to speak anyway so even a year would be fine. That said, I can also see the need to keep them short to avoid the loss of momentum of MSW overall.
