Ahoy there Crew!
After a lot of thinking and discussions, a lot of contacts made by me and Mark (Thank you Mark!!) we are proud to present you with the rules for our MSW online contest Ship Of The Quarter.

This sounds like a great idea! Does staff include moderators?

Kenny,
No. I do not include moderators as 'staff' in relation to the KitMaker Network.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Kenny
As Jim said, you're not part of "core" Staffers, which means that you can enter SOTQ contest
Cheers,
Skipper
PS: I should also add that the Judges now are:
Me, Mark and Dave O'Meara (skipper, Gunny, Grumpyoldman)

I'm assuming models already in progress don't count. Thought I might be able to sneak my XXI into this, since I couldn't finish it for the DDD2.
I wish I could participate, but once I'm done with my XXI, I will build a plane (I alternate between a ship and a plane).
This will be interesting to follow though!

Hi Ion
Yep - you can't enter your TypXXI.
This is to make all entrants equal - same amount of time to spend (these are the rules).
You can wait for the next SOTQ for your next ship project
But thanks for your feedback - it's important to know to hear the rest of the guys.

I like the idea but I’ll be to busy to enter this one.
Personally I’ld rather have more then 2 months for the build.
Just one question. Are we able to enter a kit built for a campaign assuming its built within the time frame?

Me meme me! I just need to find something I'm really into. I have a problem building model with deadlines. I get in to the "have to build" mode rather than the "want to build" mode.

Ahoy all,
I'm in........I really would like to try a build on a deadline.
I will definitely chose a simple build and one with not so much scratchbuilding.
Cheers,
Joe

I'm in, but I also ask the question......Is a campaign entry able to compete in this contest? I havent received the kit yet so should I get one or two(maybe the military rule should apply...P- for plenty).

Hi there
Well, the only kind of questions, so far is "Can I enter one model that is going to be for a Campaign?"
The answer is: Yes - as long as it follows all the points stated in "Rules Of Engagement"

Ahoy, Frank!
We're excited about getting the ball rolling on this new MSW contest, too, mate, and hopefully as a full time feature at MSW, such as Armorama's Dragon Model of the Month contest...we want to make sure that we have everything covered well before we begin, won't be long now though, promise!

Helllooooo,
LOL! Hey all it's me again are we going to start this soon? I have a Vosper (American made version I guess) by revell and my S-100 is in the mail to me. Its hard keeping these kits around with out doing anything with them . It leaves me with little room for procrastination.... in other words your making me work full time (the free time I have) on my Arizona.....LOL! All kidding aside is there any time set yet for the start date?

Hey all,
There is a posting in the completed ship section of the photo's area for SOTQ. I think someone put there pic's in the wrong spot...but it brought a smile to my face.
