I found this while on another website. It is the easiest filler I've used to date. It's made to fill acrylic finger nails.

The kit consist of acrylic liquid, acrylic powder, a small brush and a sanding stick. After showing my wife, she told me how the nail salons apply it and it works great. I used a number 0 brush to apply mine.

1. Dip the brush in the acrylic liquid and then place the tip of the brush in the acrylic powder.

2. Place the mixture on the seam you want to fill.

3. Clean off the excess on a paper towel and then dampen the brush with the liquid again and smooth the filler out.

4. Sand when dry.

Make sure you have good ventilation when using. This is some strong stuff.
You can get it at Wal Mart for around $5.00.

Very interesting, Gator! (been hangin out in the cosmetic section again, huh? )

Naw, seriously, I'm quite interested on how this will hold up under normal finishing and weathering. . .looks like I'll be headin' to WalMart after work tomorrow!

Thanks for the tip!

How will it hold up? It's for acrylic nails! This stuff is harder than gap filling super glue. Renee (my wife) says that they make special sanding sticks for this stuff. It will sand with regular sanding sticks, but the clog and it takes a little longer.

If this stuff smells anything like walking by a nail salon I think I'll have to pass. I just about get sick to my stomach just walking pass one of those places.

They make fake fingernails out of this stuff? Man, it sure must be strong. What would you use it for....gap filling....it sure would have to be a really big gap....too big to fill with a little sprue or strip styrene....I might think seriously about dumping a kit with gaps like that.

Steve, they don't make finger nails out of this stuff, they use it to smooth acrylic nails. I used it just like regular Squadron putty. Little gaps. Dries in less than 5-10 minutes. The amount you work with is a ball less than 1/16" in diameter.

I was just wondering if anyone feels a little weird buying some of the stuff we do in the cosmetic section of a store? I always tell them, "Yes, it's for me but not for what you think. I build models."

Nah. If someone does ask, I tell the that it's for building models. For some reason I get an even stranger look after that.

I just got back from WallyWorld and got a kit of this stuff. Did a quick test and wow it really does work. Thanks for tipping us off about this stuff. The lady who helped me find the stuff didn't even have any wise cracks.
