They are not labeled in the directions where they go. No#55 wt doors with handwheel #56 standard wt doors #57 wt door with qr handle #58 wt door inner side? Can anybody help me. thanks for any input.

Ahoy, mate!

Listen up, if nobody here has used the set, John Snyder of WEM will be glad to offer some assistance...he is a site-member here, and you can e-mail him directly as well from the WEM site!
Good luck,
~Gunny

Hey all,

LOL! I thought all water tight doors was the same. I'm glad the GMM PE set I have for my Arizona had less choices for the water tight doors (open or closed). I would suggest e-mailing the company to see if they could help or point you in the right direction for reference materials.

Lets see the doors are what 2mm tall and you think someone is going to be able to tell the diffeence between one door and another.

About all you have to worry about is which way you have to hinges facing. You want the hinges facing towards the bow (front-forgive me guys I was a track head in the service) and if the doors are in the middle of the ship you want the hinges facing the side it’s closest to.

The doors used to access all of the weather deck are all basically the same. Most of the doors I delt with had a long handle to make it easy to tell if it was secured or not(handle up =open Down=closed). Only the horizontal hatches still had wheels on them. The doors were generic and the hinges could be installed in any direction depending on the individual ships needs and somtimes was changed during yard periods or refits. As long as the location is correct you have nothing to worry about in 1/350 scale its just to hard to tell the difference.
