Gunny,
More with the 700 scale stuff aaaaahhhhhhhh! I think I'll have to have a talk with these companies. It may be all well and good for the younger folks dealing with the small parts but this old guy needs the larger scale in order to see things.....LOL!

Ahhhh yes more more more
I for one like all the 1/700 releases, new and re-releases from Dragon. I do feel for those that need/would like 1/350 but for me room is the main issue.
Ciao

Hey Frank. I'm no young buck and I can see 1/700 scale, with my glasses on.
I love this scale. It's more of a challenge to detail one these pups out!

Hmmm... I wonder what changes, if any, are being made to the Juneau as opposed to the San Diego?
As far as the scale issue I must say my eyes and fat fingers prefer 1.350, but my wallet and limited shelf space are leaning toward 1.700.
On the other hand we're mostly guys, right? Bigger is always better.

I would love to do 700 the smaller size and avilability of subjects would keep me in ships for a long long time. But I demand more detail in my bridges, I like the detail in the smaller open AA gus, the open lattice work in cranes and catapults. The radars and the......etc, etc, etc. The lack of detail in styrene is disappointing. Resin is expensive and a difficult mdeium to work with. SO it's 350 for me and I too moan over the great delay in the Alabama and a good Japanese cruiser and carrier
