Thanks Gator. I haven't been to Hobby Lobby in a year or so and I've heard that they have upgraded their kits considerably since then. I'm making a run today to see what they've got. Mainly looking at getting a cheap Tamiya t-72. Only saw 1 at the show and the guy wanted $40 for it. It was $43 at Squadron, and there is some guy seling them for $35 on ebay, I still think I can do better than that and avoid an $8 shipping charge.

Ended up picking up the Tamiya 350 scale Fletcher, which then inspired me to hunt down a good deal on the Hasegawa 350 scale Yukikaze. So with tax, paid just under $25 for the Fletcher and with shipping, got the Yukikaze for $48 from Lucky models. Ordered a PE set for each from AAA models (ebay store with really fine prices and reasonable shipping costs). So I guess I'm about kitted out for the year. Going to have to start building a little heavier now to keep the stash level down

Hey Steve,
Our Hobby Lobby has an awesome ship selection. Everything from sailing ships, 1/700 to 1/350 scale.

Gator,
ours is pretty sad, have a couple of snap together kits and a few car kits and thats about it. Lots of stamping supplies if your into that.

They did have a good selection...problem is I already had them all with the exception of the Fletcher. They had the AZ, NC, Lex from Trumpeter and the MIghty Mo from MR T and f course a few FLetchers. Tank wise was pretty sad them having 3 differnt brands of Abrams as their mainstay along with a few other old Tamiya staples and early Dragon kits. I might print out another coupon and run up to the one in Irving, but kind of doubt it as I went and got the Yukikaze today as well from Luckymodels

I got Trumpeter's 1/350 Essex for 40 percent off which is a pretty good deal. I regulary stock up there and you can catch deals quite often. I bought Academy's 1/32 F-16 for 21.52-bought two!! It was orginaly 100 bucks!!

Get the Tom's PE set for that Essex. It really adds some nice super detail to the kit. I really liked the under the elevator detail and of course all the cranes and radio pole, radars, and railing. I built this kit about 3 years ago and it was a great build. Make sure to buy a couple of extra aircraft kits for it. Order them from Luckymodels or Hobbyeasy. They are a lot cheaper and as they don't weigh a lot shipping won't break your back.
