Aoshima Models has announced the upcoming release of their retooled 1/700 IJN Seaplane Carrier Chitose. This release comes with a host of upgrades including a new design hull, deck, bridge, and the mast.

To round out the upgrades, the seaplanes feature folding wings and photo etch canopy frames.

Retail price is approximately $35.00 USD and will be available in July of this year. Aoshima is also producing a photo etch set for this kit.
