A very interesting release from Iron Shipwrights!
Regardless of your ship preference(s), if you are looking for something interesting or different with a good bit of history then this may very well float your boat (pun intended :) ). This particular whaleback steamer had some unique design features that made her stand out among other ships of this type. She was also used for a variety of roles making her an ideal candidate for a multitude of projects.

Living near the Great Lakes, I like seeing a kit of a whaleback subject, but price will keep me away from this one. Thanks for posting this though. -Sean.

Hi All, Made a mistake, and discovered I probably need a new set of glasses. Retail price is not $179.95, but $119.95, which changes the Special price to $95.95. Sorry for the mistake. Jon Warneke Commander Models, Inc.

Mine arrived yesterday. These ships have always fascinated me. Mine has a few problems with the PE sheet and the friendly people from Iron Shipwrights answered my query in a very short time and a replacement fret is on its way. Best service I have found on the internet. Buy with confidence from these guys. Just a quick one Jeremy, your link takes you to the wrong website. It takes you to the Commander Models website, not Iron Shipwrights. Cheers Warren

It's always good to see outstanding service, especially from smaller operations. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous mate, make sure you get a build log for her as soon as you can Did you click on the Iron Shipwrights links at the bottom, or did you click the link at the top? The lower links should both take you directly to Iron Shipwrights. The top link is for their parent company Commander Models Inc, which will take you to the Commander Models website. Would this link be preferable? http://ironshipwrights.com/
