MRC and Academy are proud to announce the release of the 1/350 Scale U.S.S. Indianapolis (item #14107).

She is One of the better know ships from World War II. She went down shortly after dropping off atomic bomb parts.

The U.S.S. Indianapolis CA-35 was used by the U.S. Navy in the Pacific War and it delivered the first operational atomic bomb. Torpedoed and sunk July 30, 1945, the Indianapolis is perhaps best remembered as the Navy's largest, single loss of life. There were just 317 survivors from a crew of 1,196.

Oooo, I'd like to get my hands on this one... But since the Academy Importer for Switzerland is a friend of mine, I can probably get it cheaper here than paying postage, now that USPS has doubled their international prices... I could ask him and see if I can get a sample to review, then you can use the one you got for a different purpose (Subscriber free kit draw?). Cheers! Stefan
