Blue Ridge Models is releasing another kit in their line of 1950s and 1960s Cold War submarines.
The USS Growler will be the next submarine kit to be released by Blue Ridge Models. It will be a multimedia kit with resin and brass photoetch parts and a set of decals. The kit also features original box artwork from artist Wayne Scarpaci.
The Growler was a Grayback Class guided missle submarine (SSG) which carried the Regulus I and II nuclear-armed cruise missle.
She is currently preserved at the Intrepid Air-Sea-Space Museum in New York City.
