Veteran Models is bringing us some amazing detail items in 1/350, 1/700 and even 1/200 for ship builders! Read more. . . .
Veteran Models was started in 2007 in Taiwan by Melvin Tung. They produce mostly 1/350 scale ship items, in resin, and they quality seems to be very high. Melvin has said that he is also producing some 1/700 and 1/200 ships fitting as well, with plans for more in the future. The offerings so far range from WWII to Modern, including deck guns and some beautiful SH-60’s in 1/350. The level of detail at the 1/350 scale is stunning. Veteran Models has even produced sea sparrow launchers with separate missiles!

While they do not currently have a website they can be found on Facebook here:

but Melvin assures us that he is planning on getting a website up in the future. We currently do not have a list of distributors for Veteran Models, but currently their products are found at:

USA: Sprue Brothers, Freetime Hobbies, Redfrog Hobbies, L’Arsenal

Australia: BNA Model World,

Europe: White Ensign Models

Rest of the World: LuckyModel, HobbyLink Japan

While Veteran Models is striving to bring a continual stream of new products to market they stress that quality is their most important concern and as a result they will not rush items that are not ready. Veteran Models does ask for the understanding and patience of its customers. Facebook is currently the best way to get in touch with Veteran Models to find out what is coming and what new products are being worked on. Once there is a full catalogue to post we will get up pics and for those of you that have used Veteran Models accessories let us know what you think and where you purchased them.

Based on the subject headline I thought they were going to release a full kit as opposed to the detail sets. Ah well, I'll still buy the sets!
