A new 'Ship with a Coin' kit series kicks off with a 1300 piece, Limited Edition release of Mirage's Blyskawica.
In her 1943 camouflage colors and markings (as well as being the colors she wears now in Gdynia) this kit comes with a commemorative coin marking the years of her service in WWII. She is the world's oldest preserved destroyer.

Blyskawica ('Lightning' in Polish) was the second ship of the two ship Grom destroyer class, built in in England for Poland. At the time of her launching in 1937, she and the Grom were the world's most heavily armed destroyers. It is believed she was the first allied vessel to engage a German U-boat in WWII and the only ship of the Polish Navy to be awarded the Virtuti Militari medal, Poland's highest military decoration for heroism. She was in service until 1976.

Mirage is also re-releasing some of their aircraft kits with commemorative coins. They're available now from the Mirage website.
