A submission of a review by David J. Salvin of a Gwylan offering.
The latest in obscure kits comes again from my favorite patron. This time, the Italian Frigate Carlo Bargamini by Gwylan. This kit is a basic resin kit with less than a dozen parts to actually assemble, but does come with a mostly complete PE set of passable quality.
The kit’s biggest problem seems to be that it was produced on what seems to be a 3D printer. As can be seen in some of the pics, every surface of every piece and all over the hull had geometric lines and grooves in it such that sanding them all down would literally mean sculpting the kit by hand. I chose to ignore the surfaces as they are hardly noticeable to the naked eye.
Other than that, an uninspired, yet serviceable kit if you need this ship in your collection.
