The heavy cruiser Indianapolis now comes in a kit with her slayer, the IJN submarine I-58 with photo etch for both.
Famous more for her fate than her actual service, the USS Indianapolis delivered the first atomic bomb components to Tinian island on July, 26, 1945. On July 30th she was torpedoed by the I-58. Her loss was unknown to her command until 3 and a half days later when crew in the water were spotted by a US Navy patrol aircraft. Only 317 survived of her 1200 crew after facing the torpedo attack, sinking, exposure to the elements and sharks.

Brass railings, radar sets, gun barrels and wood decks are supplied for both vessels. Listed as item 14113, it is scheduled to be relased late this month.

The I-58 comes with 6 Kaiten suicide mini-submarines to be strapped to her deck.

Some Japanese based on-line retailers, such as Hobby Search are offering pre-orders now.
