Built by Osaka Iron Works. Laid down on August 14, 1936. Launched May 11, 1937. Completed August 31, 1937. Built orignally as a whale oil factory ship, she became an auxillary oiler for the Japanese Imperial Navy.
Listed as kit no 7087, she is the latest in Niko's line of 1/700 water line kits. She has resin parts and includes photoetch detail.
