Less known than the Type VII with which it shares many features, the German Type IX ocean submersible has a special history. If its technical origins in the Great War, profile truly emerged in the 1930s, after much trial and error. Available in several versions, this underwater long range is the object of attentive care from the German Navy who saw in it a weapon capable of hitting hard and far.
