A new offering from Italeri Models, the "USS America", in 1/720 Scale plastic injection mold!

Here's News and Images of a new model kit, just released yesterday, of an interesting carrier model subject, Kit # 5521, "The USS America", in 1/720 scale, added to Italeri Models line of great model kits.

Vessel Information

This carrier, which belongs to the Kitty-Hawk class went into service in 1965. The America is part of the Atlantic Fleet of the US Navy, with a crew of more than 5000. This aircraft carrier has a complete force on board which consist mainly of F-14 Tomcats, A-6 Intruders, F-18 Hornets, S-3 Vikings, and E-2 AEW planes. The America is normally accompanied by 20-30 support ships.
