A release of a kit labeled as the latest of the JMSDF Akizuki-class destroyers, the DD-118 “Fuyuzuki”, commissioned into service this past March.

The Akizuki-class destroyer is a planned 4 ship class. They are intended to escort the Hyuga class and Izumo class helicopter destroyers, and safeguard the other Aegis guided warships such as the Kongo class and Atago class of the JMSDF. These destroyers provides defense against surface, airborne and undersea threats.

This waterline kit (No. AOS008171) is slated for a December release and Dragon USA lists their on-line order price as $34.99 (US) plus shipping.
