A FREMM (European multipurpose frigate or in French - Frégate européenne multi-mission or in Italian - Fregata europea multi-missione) is a class of frigate designed by DCNS/Armaris and Fincantieri for the navies of France and Italy. Gwylan Models is now accepting pre-orders for a kit of this ship.

In France the class is known as the Aquitaine-class, while in Italy they are known as the Bergamini-class. Italy is buying two versions, a general purpose frigate and an anti-submarine variant; the last two Italian FREMMs will have AAW-ATBM-Land Attack capabilities.

The model represents the five ASW vessels that are currently in service or are under construction. The kit is comprised of a resin hull and fittings, as well as photo etched detail parts and waterslide decals. Two NH90 helicopters are included with the kit, along with their own photo etch brass parts. Comprehensive assembly instructions are included.

The kit can be assembled to represent the following vessels:

D650 - Aquitaine
D651 - Normandie
D652 - Provence
D653 - Languedoc
D654 - Auvergne

Gwylan Models is looking for a goal of 30 pre-orders and is accepting pre-orders until December 6th, 2014. The pre-order price is £25.00 ($39.00 US) plus shipping.
