A website that specializes in information on special inshore naval operations and equipment is also in the process of becoming a book. Webmaster and author H. I. Sutton has compiled an extensive listing of craft from a clandestine world.
H. I. Sutton describes the purpose of his site as:

1. To document the secret history of Swimmer Delivery Vehicles (SDVs), midget subs and similar craft
2. To show these craft's proper place in Cold War history
3. To demystify the technology, design, operation and history of these craft
4. To promote an interest in SDVs, midget subs, special mission subs, military canoes and similar craft
5. To encourage others to share what they know on the subject

It is also a place where I can share my illustrations and web articles about all things military. For the most part this will be about regular submarines as the book project is consuming all the Special Forces stuff!

His book of the same name is currently planned for a Spring/Summer 2015 release. He describes the book as a non-fiction work giving the world history of naval Special Forces, their missions and their specialist vehicles. Units covered include the US Navy’s SEALs, Britain’s Special Boat Service (SBS) and many more.

The published work will document:

• Midget submarines
• Wet submarines ('SDVs')
• Military canoes
• Mother submarines
• Covert/special mission submarines
• Explosive motorboats
• ...and other covert means of waterborne and underwater transport from the 1700s to the present. It will also tell the story of the technology and the units which made it count.

The book is to contain many fresh photographs and original artworks. These are to focus on side-by-side comparisons and types.
