Built at Schichau yards in Königsberg, the Bussard (Buzzard) was launched in 1940 and commissioned in 1942. She carried Do 24 and BV 138 sea planes during her service.
In the 1920's Germany used the concept of catapult ships to extend the range of their airline routes of seaplanes so it was not a new practice to put the concept into effect for the Second World War.

This kit of the Bussard (No 70093) is comprised of resin and PE parts and includes 3 BV 138 aircraft.

The Jadar Hobby websitehas the kit listed for 157.50 PLN ($37.27 US) plus shipping.
