Several new submarine kits have been recently released that range from cold war sentinels to Jule's Verne imagination. So up periscope and let's take a look.
First, for boats from the west, we have the USS Thresher and HMS Vanguard. The Thresher (No 700005) is made up of 4 resin parts,1 metal part and measures 120.7mm when completed. It is listed for €13.40 ($15.00 USD) plus shipping. The Vanguard (No 7000097) a waterline kit containing 6 resin pieces to make 2 boats. It is listed for €30.00 ($33.60 USD) plus shipping.

From behind the Iron Curtin, come 6 different boats. First a full hull kit (No 70008) of the Soviet submarine Project 667 BDRM Dolphin (NATO name Delta IV). It is made up of 5 resin parts, two metal parts and measures 239mm when completed. It is listed for €30.00 ($33.60 USD) plus shipping.

Then a kit of it's cousin, the Soviet submarine Project 667 BDR Kalmar (NATO name Delta III) (No 700019). It also is made up of 5 resin parts, two metal parts and measures 221mm when completed. It is listed for €30.00 ($33.60 USD) plus shipping.

Next is a 2 boat waterline set of the Soviet submarine Project 671 Yorzh (NATO name Victor I) (No 700095). It is made of 2 solid resin parts and is listed for €16.70 ($18.71 USD) plus shipping.

A more part intensive kit (No 700096) is of the Soviet submarine Project 675 (NATO name Echo II). It is one boat, measuring 165mm when completed and made up of 10 resin parts and 14 metal parts. It is listed for €26.70 ($29.90 USD) plus shipping.

The Yuri Dolgoruky, Project 955, Borei class submarine (No 700004) is of one boat, 214mm when completed, 1 resin part and 2 metal parts, listed for €28.40 ($31.80 USD) plus shipping.

The last Soviet submarine, Project 661 Anchar (NATO name Papa) (No 700006) made up of 2 resin parts, 2 metal parts and measures 152.7mm when completed. It is listed for €23.40 ($26.20 USD) plus shipping.

And finally, from early science fiction literature, a depiction of Jules Verne's fantastic Nautilus (No 700027) from his novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This depiction is based on the vessel's description form the novel and early engraved renderings. It is 100mm when completed and is comprised of 2 resin parts and 3 metal parts.
