News in from MIG Productions, of their new full resin kit, the 1/35 scale "Russian PG117
Speed Boat "!

Kit #-MP 35-282
Scale-1/35
Price- 39 Euro, w/o Spanish VAT

Details

MIG Productions' 1/35th scale Russian PG117 Speed Boat is another first in the market.

This full resin kit can be used in all eastern front shoreline dioramas or displayed alone (Berlin rivers, Hungary, Poland and Russia).

The kit includes a well-detailed interior with seats, steering wheel and a Maxim Machine-gun and tripod.

The modeler can omit the machine-gun and tripod if they choose, and paint a civilian version of this boat.

This kit is cast showing an authentic wood-grain finish on both the interior and exterior of the boat. Two oars, and five extra ammunition boxes are also included.

The 1/35th Russian PG117 Boat will also look great next to MIG's Bronekater and/or with the company's Russian Naval Infantry set for a fantastic Dio setting!

i had the project of scratchbuilding that one so I read loads about this small boat and it is indeed the military copy of a racing boat, quite speedy in fact and *really* good looking. I saw plans too, its lines are really great and it sadly doesn't show of too much on their demo pictures: a view from front/side could have shown that better!

Resin and myself simply do not mix, while the one piece hull is beautiful, the smallest pieces seem to be held by the largest chunks of resin almost guaranteeing broken important parts which is what happened to mine today, the spot light holder broke in two, and the handels on the machine gun also broke, there's no instructions as so few parts, I would like to have seen a stand, but it shouldn't to too hard to make one, I would love to buy the Tupolve G-5 type X until I saw the price.
